I've noticed that IBConsole and IBOConsole will not login to FB 1.5 RC1
Classic. Is there any way to do administration on databases for FB Classic
other than manual queries, etc, using IB_SQL, gfix, gbak, etc? I need to do
backup/restore, database validation, database statistics, etc.


Also, in our classic testing, one of our FB sessions got hung up and would
not allow any logins to any other databases. We let it run for a day but it
was still stuck. We stopped the service and that did not close the FB that
was hung. We couldn't kill it using task manager either. We had to reboot
the server that night so couldn't do any more testing until the next day.
This was with Beta 4, though. We have installed RC1 since then haven't had
that problem again (yet). Is there some other way to stop an FB classic
session? If many are running (usually there are), how do we know which one
to stop?
