Philippe Makowski & myself would be glad to give a go at a French
translation too to
be posted on the french firebird web site (http://firebird-fr.eu.org)

Possibly also submit this article to Linux-Magazine France (they are
running a series of article on various databases (mysql, SQP-DB, ..) for
re-publishing (with all necessary credits attributed obviously). As I
have no clues on the normal practice when republishing a previously
published article, in a magazine, could you check with the author if
that is potentially feasible or not.
