Hi,
I've installed Firebird on a XP machine, but I can't connect to it. I have a
problem in interbase.log file, that says:
"SERVIDOR (SERVER)
INET/INET_CONNECT: GETHOSTBYNAME FAILED, ERROR CODE = 11001"
This error 11001 is:
"Berkeley description: No such host is known. The name you have used is not an
official hostname or alias. This is not a soft error, another type of name
server request may be successful. "
But, I try to connect in the same machine that Firebird is installed, and the
hosts name is "SERVIDOR", that is a valid hostname.
What could be the problem?
