Please, friends, don't bring beta problems to this list. Questions
regarding installation of betas, new language features in the betas,
apparent bugs, etc. etc. MUST be raised in firebird-devel.
For newbies: please don't attempt to start your new experience with
Firebird by using a beta. Download the latest stable release version and
give yourself a good deal. :-)
For people who don't understand what a beta is: it is a preview of what
the forthcoming release will be like. Its purpose is for quality assurance
testing -- to help the developers get the new features right. Don't even
consider replacing your current version with a beta for production use -
particularly 'b1' which means "first beta". It is still very unripe.
