Huh?

And I changed from using indices to indexes when someone (actually, I
thought it was you or Ann) some years ago wrote a fairly convincing mail
about indices being the proper word when referring to lists in a book,
whereas indexes was correct when talking about databases.

Oh well, I'll just mix the two in an attempt to make everyone confused (and
indeces or indixes does sound like words applicable for introduction into a
"Dictionary of Incorrect English")!
