hello all,

I'm starting to work and learn Firebird and I was wondering what could
be the most suitable character set to use into a database since I have
to allow insertion of non standard european characters like accented,
umlauts, etc. I'm currently using Brookstone case insensitive
collation drivers and I have tried a first experiment with ISO8859_1
and all seems to work well with non standard characters, case
insensitive collation and this character set, but I'd like to have a
confirmation :-)
