Hi All,
Today I proceeded to update my 1.5 RC4 installation to RC7 and run into major
issues. (RC4 was running just fine)
Here is what happened: I uninstalled RC4, removed the Firebird dir, deleted
gds32.dll from Sys32. and installed RC7 (classic, fbguardian, server, client tools)
The guardian and server are running, but whatever I do I can't connect to the
server. Here are some of the messages that I get from different tools:
FbConfigManager:
Firebird Server is not installed on this computer
QuickDesk:
The procedure entry point fbclient.isc_event_counts could not be located in
gds32.dll
IBExpert:
Unavailable database
This machine has had a very long history. I had IB 5.5, 6.01 and then FB 1.5 RC4
installed on it.
Any ideas? (Of course multiple reinstalls and reboots did not help much)
