Greetings,
I really like Firebird/Interbase for it ease of use and the fact that a
Database administrator is not required. However there are a few things that
I really believe make this database too weak for a business environment.
Does the Firebird development team have any plans to implement support
for...
1) Cross-Database Joins? The first time I needed this feature, I was
dismayed to learn that Firebird or Interbase does not support this when MS
SQL Server and others do.
2) A better security method to protect the proprietary database schema from
anyone using IBConsole, Database Workbench, or any other tool to view it and
the data contained therein?
Appreciate any and all replies.
Thanks
