It seems that you are (have been for a few minutes) working with CS and
didn't read the Release Notes with the necessary attention. :-)

Can you share with us this message? Are you sure that there was a "BLOB"
part in it? This is the only part of your message that I really don't have a

Well, you don't need to change nothing, or almost nothing, if you use the
same server version (SS), and take a good care if you are starting using a
NEW server version (CS in Windows). I use Delphi+IBO and I just did a small
change in firebird.conf to make it work well. And all of this is very well
documented. Just read the Release Notes deeper.
