lured by some nice improvements promised in the Release Notes, today
I decided to switch to FB 1.5 .
After a few seconds, my beloved WISQL and the application I have been
working the last few months would not work.
WISQL would give an error message regarding some missing BLOB
function in GDS32.DLL (that I understand has changed).
My application - that runs with IBO components on Local protocol -
would give the "unavaible database" error message.
I wonder if there is a workaround or if the people behind FB decided
("a la Microsoft") that at any new version everybody should change
the way he works and the tools he uses. :)
Best regards
