Hi,
I use debian unstable, and firebird takes about 10 seconds to start on
my AthonXP 2200 with 256MB Ram. The FB package version is 1.0.2-2.1.
I don't think it was that slow in the beginning, something must have
changed on my system, the log is full of these messages:
SERVER/process_packet: connection rejected for firebird
The attached firebird.log is the result of 1 startup.
Some more info:
root@Valhalla:/etc# cat hosts.equiv
localhost firebird
hosts.allow and hosts.deny are both empty.
Firebird runs as the "firebird" user:
firebird 2432 0.0 0.2 2484 752 pts/0 S 20:39 0:00 /usr/lib/
firebird/bin/ibguard -f
firebird 2433 0.0 0.7 6472 2012 ? S 20:39 0:00 /usr/lib/
firebird/bin/ibserver
firebird 2434 0.0 0.7 6472 2012 ? S 20:39 0:00 /usr/lib/
firebird/bin/ibserver
firebird 2437 0.0 0.7 6472 2012 ? S 20:39 0:00 /usr/lib/
firebird/bin/ibserver
Whats going wrong?
Regards,
Yves
