I'm no expert, but I found that on my win98 machines winsock was not the issue. The issue I had was with msvcp60.dll not being there and msvcrt.dll being the wrong version.
reason...
I am installing:
fbclient.dll
gds32.dll
into users system directory. Are there any other files that I need to
install? What about the hosts file? Does that need to be manually edited?
Thanks,
Lee
