Errrm...yes it can. The ODS hasn't changed.

That is always a good precaution but it shouldn't be necessary (and wasn't
necessary for any of my beta 2 databases). It looks to me more likely that
the 5.x version of gbak was being used to try and backup a Firebird
database, possibly using the 5.6 Server Manager program (you can't).
