Howdy all.
New to this newsgrp.
Am in the "education" process of converting our Paradox tbls to IB
while still using Paradox as the front end.
We have 6 tbls which have a memo or formatted memo field. These end
up in IB as blob fields type 0. Have another script where blob fields
are set to text, i.e. "CURRENTMSG" BLOB SUB_TYPE 1 SEGMENT SIZE
80 /* "CurrentMsg" */
My question revolves around how to display blobs fields via
Paradox...but am also wondering it maybe I should convert these memo
fields to varchar XXXX as the contents are not much but in some cases
are "canned" legaleese verbiage which is inserted into monthly
statements. Another use for the memo is to hold a "record" of
telephone discussions between customer spt folks w/customers.
Thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions.
