good advice, but more than just a suggestion, lele :)

duilio, pls make sure to *NOT* use any mapped drives (i suppose f:\... is one)
as IB/FB can't tell it is - you *MUST* make sure the connection string
server:localpath is identical for all clients. If you connect one as
"c:\call\call.gdb" and the other as "f:\call\call.gdb" then the server will
"think" those are two different databases, and this will very likely get you
into serious trouble (iirc it's a Named Pipes issue inside the server that will
trash your gdb sooner or later).

P.S.: someone had trouble with an IB server on Win9x in our german ng, and got
the reply: "Then use an *operating system* [NT, W2K, Lnx..], not a bootable
bitmap" ;-)) and i'll second that...
