I must be doing somthing wrong, I issue the command and the ibserver goes to
98% use but does nothing...
Here is the command I am using (To make it clear, I am separating it into
sections, but, it is all one line)
gbak -r -user 'dont' -password 'useit' -v -y restore.out -p 16384 -bu 1024
-se service_mgr

/home/ib/cur/mcf.039 130000 /home/ib/cur/mcf.040 130000
As you can see, I am restoring 19 files that reside in the /home/ib/cur
directory to a 40 file database that is to reside in the same directory.
Is there a limit to how much the gbak program can parse?
The gbak process sits idle, the restore.out file does not get created, there
is no error message, one of the three ibserver processes runs at 98%
continuously (overnight so far).
Is this a bug I found or is somthing else going on?
The machine is a AMD Athlon 2000 with 1GB ram and over 1TB of storage.
It is running Linux Mandrake 8.2 and Firebird 1.0
