Can someone help me on how to delete a secondary file using SQL ?

As far as I am concerned, I have created a secondary file using
SQL statement: ALTER DATABASE ADD FILE ...

How to use SQL statement to delete a secondary file ? or is there a
component to delete it ? I have tested IB Express Admin components
but I couldn't remove the secondary file. :(

btw, I did a test by deleting the secondary file purposely through
normal file deletion (under Windows platform). After deletion,
I can't connect to the main database anymore. The error that
I got was the secondary file missing. Is there any way to make
the main database valid/connectable ?
