a.) Firebird 1.0 is installed on a Win XP machine. I do a gbak -B -T
on the database.
b.) Firebird 1.0 is installed on both Win XP and Red Hat Linux machine.
I do a restore of the backup done on A and get the following error on
both B machines

ERROR: Expected versions 1, 2 or 3. Found 0

If I backup a database on machine B XP and restore it to machine B Linux
all is fine. I'm confused as both machines A and B have the same
installation of Firebird. Neither had any previous installation of
Firebird or Interbase.

Any ideas. Thanks in advance.
