Hello,
I am trying to install the super-server version of firebird RC2 on a redhat
7.0 box after using the classic server for many months on the same box. I
have tried the instructions on the firebird website for installing with
redhat 7.0 without much success: I get the following error msg in
interbase.log when I try to start firebird:
INET/inet_error connect errno = 111
I have added localhost to the hosts.equiv file as the web site suggested
without any luck. Do I need a firebird file in xinetd.d directory and if so
what should it contain. Does the super-server version only work with inetd
and not xinetd?
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff Seman
