Hi All,
For development of our systems it will probably turn out that FB will be
used for some clients (small companies) and IB will be used for other
clients (lager companies)
In that case it would be most useful for us as developers when FB and IB
will not diverge too much and will be as interchangeable as possible
For example: the different keywords used by IB and FB for the "Select from
to" construction is a pity, but if it will remain the only keyword
difference it can be overcome. One might therefore choose to cooperate and
use the same keywords for new implementations in the future
What are the intentions at Borland and Firebird to cooperate and to keep FB
and IB as parallel as possible ? (I mean within practical limits)
For example will the boolean type implementation be interchangeable between
IB and FB ?
best regards
Tanno
