I think FB and IB will become very distinct products. Do not expect
that Borland follow FB directions and vice-versa.
Borland left the Open Source community alone so we have to build our
own way to keep growing and that's what FB guys are doing (and very well).
The easy compatibility like doing a IB backup and a FB restore is
already gone with new ODS, etc... So FB is compatible with IB 6.0,
that's all.
I think you should make an extra effort to show to your larger
customers that FB is so strong as IB (maybe even more) and that they are
safe to use it.
This is just my personal fellings.
