Is this strictly for FB or does/did it hold for IB5.6 LIBS ??

Are you using a loopback connection method/string (i.e.
"localhost:drive:\path\database.gdb")???

You need to.

The normal direct connection method ( "drive:\path\database.gdb") is a
blocking connection, only 1 operation performs at a time.
