Start by downloading the latest Firebird 2 code from the project CVS.

Then post a message to the Firebird-Dev list, stating that you want to
help and are interested in getting FB2 to compile with gcc under
Windows/Cygnus. Hopefully you will have an error message or 2 that can
'jump start' the process.
