Yes You can have both NT and Linux on same M/C and HD and can do selective
boot with LILO Refer doc for Linux.

In my honest opinion Suse is best for FireBird or Interbase. I used Redhat
i had nothing but problems. then I tried Suse (Phil Shrimpton Guided me
On This in This List Only) and every thing is fine now. Suse - Interbase 6.01
combo is working fine for more than 6 months on production site for a
Banking Application without any troubles for a single Minute.
