Hello,
I'm using Interbase 6.0 on a Win 2K server with IBO client side and have an
error occurring every time in only two modules (out of several hundred).
The error is:
ISC ERROR CODE:335544344
ISC ERROR MESSAGE:
I/O error for file: "C:\Docume~1\Admini~1\Locals~1\Temp\ib_sort_a01704
Error trying to open file
Data is invalid
If I Login as Administrator on the client (same password as the server) the
error doesn't occur. However, if I log in the client as a user the error
occurs 100% of the time only on the same two queries from any of the nine
stations at this location. Am I correct to believe that Interbase is
storing its temp files in the server's \Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\
file folder? I have tried the setting the temp directory in ibconfig by
using "TMP_DIRECTORY 20000 "C:\INTERBASE\TEMP\"" on a test server and found
that Interbase is not using the new temp directory.
Is there a reliable way to move the temp folder to a new folder? Or is
this even my problem?
Thanks,
Wes Barnett
