Yes, I had not noticed, habit in Builder puting two in
strings.

\\PC1\DiskC\ifixed.gdb ( DiskC is your share name for C: )

Not as fast as TCI/IP but it should also work

I used the Wise package from
http://ibinstall.defined.net/dl_bin_fire.htm

It installed clean on a new Win98SE laptop and I can see it
from all the other machines on the network.

Don't know what else to suggest.
