Hi All
I've updated the firebird download page (again):
http://firebird.sourceforge.net/download_Release1.0.0Beta2.php
To included the latest win32 packages from David and the new Solaris
X86 packages from Konstantin.
Thanks to both of them.
Downloads are available directly from:
http://firebird.sourceforge.net/download_Release1.0.0Beta2.php
or indirectly from firebird download page at:
http://firebird.sourceforge.net/download2.php
Changes for Win32 install:
The binary files HAVE NOT CHANGED, only the install process has changed.
The install script changes are:
1. A fix for a registry entry which is set on install,
2. A client only win32 install of
BTW:
The file names in this win32 release also might be a bit confusing, if
you look directly at the sourceforge download area, and do not use the
links on the download page. The original packages are
Firebird-1.0.0.338-Beta2-Win32-Setup.zip and the new package is
Firebird-1.0.0.338-Beta-2-Win32-Setup.zip.
Because a number of people link to the original files, and to keep a
complete version history, I have left both of them there, but web page
maintainers will need to alter their page to point to the Beta-2-Win32
versions as these are the latest packages.
We also have a solution to this minor release problem which will come
into effect in the next major release.
Cheers
Mark
(Hi Dmitry Kuzmenko - yes this is the updated update, so it should
display 1.0.0 Beta2 in the install script, thanks for testing/finding
the other bug :-).
