We have encountered a serious problem with our development database. We
have a team working on the adatabase, making metadata changes like adding
columns, changing SPs etc. We have encountered some really 'wierd;
behaviour. Columns not having NOT NULL constraints refusing null
values, the DB crashing when trying to create new SPs, etc.

We tried a validation on the server, but it gave a lot of errors. The
server runs IB5.6 & NT4 & SP6. A backup & restore also fails. An extract of
the (very large) log file is included. The extract show the two errors we
get. There are MANY instances of these 2 errors.

The restore bombs out on a 'deadlock' error. No other users are logged into
the DB.

On another machine (W2K), the restore runs, but fail because of column with
NOT NULL constraints having null values etc.

Is there anybody that can give some advice?
