I'm here again :-). I reinstalled the SuSE Linux 7.2 (because of messing up somethings). After that I installed the Firebird CS. The machine is reachable with ping. but when I try to connect to the machine with IB_WISQL, I get the error message "Unable to complete network request to host .......". Then I tried with netstat -a | grep gds_db, but I don't receive a listening. Did I forget something in the sfirebird installation. I think in the CS kit, the server starts automatically, or am I wrong ?
