Did you get any further with this?
I have a machine running SUSE7.2 and have ftp running so I
can copy into it.
( Kylix is on and working I think )
I've installed SSFirebird, and it has loaded OK, but at
present I have to start it manually. My windows applications
then talk to it nicely.
Just need IBObjects Kylix and FastReport and I should be in
business.
So onto the questions -
I've not taken much notice on CS / SS discussions - where
should I look for some pointers on which one I SHOULD be
using?
Wrong place to ask I know, but how do I get Firebird to auto
start in linux? I have the firebird.init.d script, but i'ts
15 years since I sat in front of a unix box! None of those
grey cells seem to have survived.
