Hi,

I am having a problem connecting to Firebird on Linux from a Windows
machine using IBConsole. I tried running the communications
diagnostics of IBConsole and both the gds_cd and 3050 services are
able to establish a connection succesfully. However, once I attempt
to connect to the server, I get the following error message:

Unable to complete network request to host "cobaltdb".
Failed to locate host machine.
Undefined service gds_db/tcp
======================================================

Has anyone encountered this problem. Thanks.
