I'm really stupid with this internet interfaces but can be helpful
in some questions about development with Interbase/Firebird. I
visited Borland newsgroups for a some time but I use Firebird now and
I think my place is here. I want to use newsgroup interface at
news.atkin.com. Please help me if someone can. Whole story is:
I tried to register on Yahoo with my original email but was told
that someone else already use "ded". I registered as
"ded_spb@..." and subscribed to some groups. I could'nt post
messages via ng intreface until I specified my "ded@..." as
alternative email. In a few days it worked but today my messages sent
via ng interface appears only on Yahoo.
I collected info that I think may be linked with it:
Yahoo preferences:
Invitations - both "can"
Email available for subscription - ded_spb@..., ded@...
Yahoo delivery options:
No email, No conversion, Profile ded_spb, address to send email
ded_spb@..., alternative ded@....
My Netscape 4.7. preferences:
Mails&Newsgroups
Identify:
Email ded@...
Reply to ded@...
Messages:
Send messages that use 8-bit characters - As is
Advanced preferences:
Enable Java
Enable style sheets
Accept all cookies.
