Hello list,

Using Interbase version WI-V6.0.1.0 on Win 98.

When I use IBConsole (ver 1.0.0.326) to validate a database, I get the
following message:-

"Database file appears corrupt ()"
"bad checksum"
"checksum error on database page 1846"

If I try and repair using IBConsole I get the following error:-
"Internal gds software consistency check (cannot find tip page (165))"

I have tried using gfix with -mend but am not having much success (This
is my first corrupt interbase database in over 4 years !).

Can anyone advise on the correct procedure for using gfix and then gbak
to get this db going again.
