But when the FB is opensource, can´t they see your bug fixes and use your
solution to move ahead quickly while you do not have the same opportunity?
I think that is not too fair...

easier than fixing old bugs or getting the feature right the first or second

what I've learned in those months is that introducing a feature may be far
easier than fixing old bugs or getting the feature right the first or second
time. Let's see how many bugs they fixed.
