The second article mentions two registry settings that can be tweaked.
Switching both of them to maximum for the paged and non paged pool memory
failed.

Also, adding another 128 megs of ram to the machine failed.


This problem has existed for us since IB 5.6, so it's definitely not
something Firebird introduced.

I guess my question is if there is a way to safely access the data in those
files with however FB opens them, and if it is feasible to incorporate that
into FB.
