The only version that's acceptable in stability is IB v5.6. If you are using
anything older, either use IB4.2 or ask Borland for the free upgrade to
v5.6. Versions between 5.0 and 5.5 really were a royal nightmare and I'm
very happy I continued using IB4.2 over that time: they mangle data, they
return wrong result sets and they crash.
