Dear List:

I would like to know what Mechanism Firebird uses for adding users?
Does it use the service manager, or isc_add_user? Or is it best to
find out where the security database is stored, and then update it
directly? If updating directly, are passwords encrypted, and by what
method?

I would figure that IB5.6 uses isc_add_user, IB6.0 uses the service
manager, but not sure about FB.
