Not having used Interbase for 10 years, I don't know what they are
currently doing as the default password. At one stage a random one was
used and appears in one of the directories but we need a current user to
confirm. That is why I suggest switching to Firebird might be easier and
quicker. Flamerobin also allows you to test the database direct.
