They are php files, the main test script is a php script as well
(run-tests.php). I do not have the time right now to explain how it
can be called (options, run tests only for one extension, which php
exe to use, etc.) but you can find this info in the Makefile in
win32/build/ (source zip or cvs).
As a side note, while preparing the code coverage and CI process for
our releases, I will also add some "tests" package for
http://windows.php.net/snapshots/ . It will be then much easier to run
the tests without having to download the complete sources.
