ibWebAdmin had been mentioned, but the main point was that
PHP can access Firebird on any machine.

I've just finished rebuilding the linux machine AGAIN ;) so
I will check things out as I get the server to the same
stage as the windows machine.

And gbak as well - I've been doing backups via ibWebAdmin
without problems.
