Hello there,
I am new to Firebird. I have played around a bit with
Firebird back in 2006 using command line.
But I am now making a Java desktop application.
I wish to make an application
where I have a GUI-Swing application and
in the Menu under 'File' I want that when a person
pressed "New" a file dialog would appear and ask the
user where on disk to store the database file : ".fdb".
This is similar to MicroSoft Access when you wish to start a project
from scratch from a new file and it asks you to save it to disk.
How does one invoke creation of the Firebird database file.
Any help appreciated.
Sincerely,
Palmer
