Dave,

If this is important, maybe you should give Roman a donation to help him along. He's done excellent work with jaybird and I don't think he should be brow beaten. I haven't said this before but I would like to commend Roman on all the hard work he's done with jaybird and Interbase. I couldn't do my job with out his outstanding hard work.

but still nothing changed. So I am asking again: When this issues will
be solved? I don't wont to bother you but we will appreciate solutions
of this issues. Issue JDBC-88 (configuration parameter 'encoding' cannot
be set to 'OCTETS') has priority for us.
