hi there william,

Good Day!!!

i tried your suggestion re /log/test.log placed it
almost everywhere hehehe but i still got the same
error messages once i startup tomcat

i also checked the log4j-core.jar and couldn't find
any log4j.properties file so this portion of ur
suggestion was not followed through..

as a solution i temporarily took off log4j-core.jar
from $CATALINA_HOME/common/lib

so question ... should i consider that move the
permanent fix??

thanks a lot for the attention :-)

pal,
benjohn
