That's it I'm finally installing Firebird today, after having read the
Interbase 6 documentation and designing the database.
To my suprise I didn't find any installation instruction of the alpha
version on the web and in the zip file.
I must have missed something I suppose.
Question 1) Where can I find installation instructions for the alpha
version?
Question 2) Is there a alpha 2 version planned for Linux?

I'm developping on W2000 and deploying on Linux Redhat 7.2/7.3
I could be a good candidate for testing the new version on both
platforms.

Your help will be appreciated.
