Does the fact that the design of Firebird makes data placement much
less critical than it is for other databases matter? Should we
implement other useless features for check-off value - read uncommitted
transaction (a performance boost on non-MVCC engines, but just bad
data for us) or the MySQL file-system dependent rules for case
sensitivity?

Sure. And if we had the marketting strength to put together our
own checklist, we'd look a lot better than if we rely on our
competitors to do it for us.
