Subject Re:RES: [Firebird-general] Why is more hosting available for Mysql

You definitely need good documentation. Try postres page and check
documentation section. There is lot of ACTUAL informations for exact
version. You can get good info how to install database, how to maintain,
solve problems etc.
You do not need to check documentation for version 6 and then read release
notes for version 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, ... 8.3. Documentation is actual.
Go and compare with firebird.

Yuo are hosting provider. You want to make money nto to pay people to chat
on mailing lists or google all the day to get answer to simple questions.

WHY THERE IS NO REAL OFFICIAL WIKI? That can be place to collect
documentations, user experiences and howtos. And time to time someone can
collect that and release nice book or official manual.
We use gentoo and gentoo-wiki is first place we look for information.
