When you said No commercial backing in the US, do you mean there is not
a big name like Oracle, MS, IBM behind it?
I understand there are several consultant firm backing it.
I think this is a perception's issue, Oracle, MS and IBM relay in
consultants to develop real solutions, a RDBMS by itself is not a
business solution.
RDBMS are just tools. Linux in the past faced the same problem. Time
gave Linux a chances, so we need to continue the effort in order to
increase Firebird adoption.

Slogans help with adoption, because people would remind it easily.
