Interbase/Firebird IS legendary database, and its history is read like a
legend: it's very long, full of extraordinary deeds, heroes and
heroines, "evil" opponents, unexpected twists, loses and victories. I
guess that the fact that IB/FB history has all aspects of regular legend
has a vital role in people's affection to it.
To sum it up, I think that the *legend link* fits Firebird perfectly
(the fact that Firebird is a legendary bird aside).
