www.linuxquestions.org is actually quite a useful general
Linux site. Membership list tops 36000, so the level of
voting is quite a surpass, since we could only get 10% of
our users to vote ...
Some of the other categories had larger 'turnouts' so
perhaps databases are just not 'interesting' ?

But any opportunity to promote Firebird should be used :)
