Hi
The linux binaries for Firebird 0.9-4 contains a bug that did not
release temporary disk file space in /tmp until the server was shutdown.
I have updated the 0.9-4 release files at:
http://sourceforge.net/project/firebird
or more directly at:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=9028&release_id=19364
The new linux release files :
FirebirdCS-0.9-4p1.tar.gz
FirebirdCS-0.9-4p1.i386.rpm
FirebirdSS-0.9-4p1.tar.gz
FirebirdSS-0.9-4p1.i386.rpm
Where SS is super super, and CS is classic server.
These binaries have the bug removed and superseed the previous 0-9-4
binary release versions. Both the CS and SS versions have passed
successfully though the TCS test suite.
The additional source file
interbase-0.9-4src-patch1.tar.gz
is also included in the release and contains a patch utility file that
will automatically apply the changes to the original 0.9-4 source tree.
This problem only occurs on the linux platform.
Thanks for all those who helped in finding isolating and fixing this bug.
Regards
Mark
